Emily’s science background started with getting her B.S. in Genetics from Iowa State, where she worked on cell migration and death in Drosophila. She then completed her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences at the University at Buffalo (SUNY), working on genomic variation in nociceptive response in C. elegans. Fun fact, she has a tattoo of every model organism that she has worked with throughout the years!
