Char Wynter

Graduate Student
wynter[at]princeton.edu

Char is originally from Portmore, Jamaica, but she moved with her family to South Florida during middle school and has been there since!

Before starting her Ph.D, she received her B.S. in Biology (Biochemistry/Biophysics) from Stanford University (2020-2024).

In the Mesa lab, Char’s project is focused on better understanding the development of dermal-resident macrophages and their interactions with both extracellular matrix (ECM) components and other dermal cell types throughout the life of an organism. She will be performing longitudinal 2-photon microscopy on postnatal mice as they grow to adulthood.

Her hobbies include exploring nature through hikes and camping, studying the history of art by visiting museums, and playing League of Legends.
